Why did GOD create Man?
If GOD knows the future, why did he create angel and man who would win?
I have been asking questions about the Bible and sharing the scriptures that answer the question in my church for a while. Some people give me question that they want help finding the answer for. This question is one of those questions. Most of the time the question I get from GOD comes to me when I am reading scripture. When this question was given to me, I was reading in Jeremiah 30:12-15 So I am going to use this scripture for this question. As I looked for scripture to answer the question i felt GOD telling me to separate the question into 4 different questions. As I share these questions on my blog, I am going to make 4 different blogs.
The 4 different questions are.
Does GOD know the future?
Did GOD know Adam and Eve were going to sin?
Why did GOD create angels?
Why did GOD create man?
The scripture I am using for this question is Jeremiah 30:12-15, and Genesis 1:27.
Jeremiah 30:12-15 says, ““For thus says the Lord: Your hurt is incurable, and your wound is grievous. There is none to uphold your cause, no medicine for your wound, no healing for you. All your lovers have forgotten you; they care nothing for you; for I have dealt you the blow of an enemy, the punishment of a merciless foe, because your guilt is great, because your sins are flagrant. Why do you cry out over your hurt? Your pain is incurable. Because your guilt is great, because your sins are flagrant, I have done these things to you.”
Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
My question is why did GOD create man?
Jeremiah 30:12-15 tells me that I sin. When I do I create a wound that has no cure, and my guilt is great. As I was looking for the scripture to answer my question, GOD gave me comfort {through his scripture} with knowing that GOD loves me even when I sin.
I found several different reasons why GOD created us, even though we are sinners.
Our glory and honor are found in 1 Corinthians 2:7 and Psalm 8:3-5
1 Corinthians 2:7 says. “But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.”
Psalm 8:3-5 says, “When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.”
God’s grace, glory and honor and power is in 2 Timothy 1:9 and Revelation 4:11 and Ephesians 3:10.
2 Timothy 1:9 says, “who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.”
Revelation 4:11 says, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Ephesians 3:10 says, “so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”
Seeking after GOD is found in Acts 17:26-27.
Acts 17:26-27 says, “And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek GOD, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.”
I found fellowship and partnership in 1 Corinthians 1:9. I am going to give you this scripture in the ESV version and the NLT version.
ESV version of 1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
NLT version of 1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
I am humbled every time I see GOD’s words telling a story. GOD created everything and made his plan. GOD gave us free will to seek him so we can have fellowship with him.
I used both the ESV and the NLT version of 1 Corinthians 1:9 to answer my question, because I like both versions.
Partnership reminds me I have a choice and a responsibility to share my fellowship with GOD. When you are a partner with someone you both are blessed when there is much fruit. When I read scripture and get questions form them and find the answers I am in fellowship with GOD. When I pray to GOD I am in fellowship with GOD. But when I share my questions and answers with others I am in a partnership with GOD.
My question for me and the world is. Am I in a true partnership with GOD?
My Prayer is. OH, Heavenly Father, Thank you for your plan. You created us and put a plan in motion so we can have fellowship with you. You want us to be your partner in your plan. You want us to share your plan with the world. Help us see you at work in our life. Be with us as we listen to you and partner with you in your plan of salvation.
AMEN
