If GOD knows the future, why did he create angel and man who would sin?
I have been asking questions about the Bible and sharing the scriptures that answer the question in my church for a while. Some people give me question that they want help finding the answer for. This question is one of those questions. Most of the time the question I get from GOD comes to me when I am reading scripture. When this question was given to me, I was reading in Jeremiah 30:12-15 So I am going to use this scripture for this question. As I looked for scripture to answer the question, I felt GOD telling me to separate the question into 4 different questions. As I share these questions on my blog, I am going to make 4 different blogs.
The 4 different questions are.
Does GOD know the future?
Did GOD know Adam and Eve were going to sin?
Why did GOD create angels?
Why did GOD create man?
With this blog I am going to answer Did GOD know that Adam and Eve would sin?
The scriptures I am using for this question is Jeremiah 30:12 – 15 and Genesis 1:27.
Jeremiah 30:12 – 15 says. For thus says the Lord: Your hurt is incurable, and your wound is grievous. There is none to uphold your cause, no medicine for your wound, no healing for you. All your lovers have forgotten you; they care nothing for you; for I have dealt you the blow of an enemy, the punishment of a merciless foe, because your guilt is great, because your sins are flagrant. Why do you cry out over your hurt? Your pain is incurable. Because your guilt is great, because your sins are flagrant, I have done these things to you.”
Genesis 1:27 says. “So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created him; male and female he created them.”
Genesis 1:27 tells us that GOD created human beings. Jeremiah 30:12-15 tells us that human beings sinned. And that sin is a terrible wound that no medicine can heal. I have believed in Jesus a lot of years.
When this question was presented to me, I thought to myself, I thinks so. But what does the Bible say. So as a believer when I see scripture that talks about GOD’s mysterious plan for my salvation that he planned from the beginning. It shows me how much GOD loves me. And how much he wants everyone to be saved. Some of the scriptures that tell me this are.
Ephesians 3:6-12 says, “And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”
2 Timothy 1:9 says, “For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.”
Acts 2:23 says, “But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him.”
When I read these scriptures and think about how sin is a terrible wound that no medicine can heal, I am so glad GOD sent his Son as my savior.
My answer is yes. GOD knew that Adam and Eve would sin when he created them. GOD had a plan from day one of creation that he would send Jesus as our savior for our sins. GOD also sent the Holy Spirit to guide us through all our wounds.
The scripture I am using for my answer is: 2 Timothy 1:9
2 Timothy 1:9 says, “For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.”
My question for me and the world is. Am I grateful for GOD’s plan of salvation for my sin?
My prayer is, OH Heavenly Father, Thank you for your plan of salvation. Thank you for being with us when we wound ourselves with sin. Help us see our mistakes in our life. Help us repent and turn to you for comfort when we hurt ourselves. Show us the path we should walk. Help us to not hurt ourselves and forgive each other and ourselves when we sin.
AMEN
